About sonder

A home you can own.

sonder is an independent project built by Joshua Baek. It exists because creators’ work deserves a home they own—not just another place to send people for a link.

This is a prelaunch project, so the promise is deliberately simple: make the useful parts clear, keep the important choices with you, and say what is ready instead of pretending everything is finished.

What we believe

• Keep your margin. sonder’s platform fee is 0% of sales. Card processing fees from your payment processor still apply.
• Keep your data. Owners and admins can download a versioned portable package — pages, media, catalog, courses and business records with a manifest of anything left out — and spreadsheet CSVs from Exports in the dashboard, then bring a package back in as drafts. The FAQ on leaving sonder lists what a package does and does not carry.
• Use honest software. Features should say what they do, and a product should be clear about what is available now versus what is still in preparation.
